When deciding between a cake finished with buttercream or covered in fondant, you will need to take into account a few things. For example the weather, in the very hot months take into account that buttercream can melt. The same is true for whipped cream or meringue cakes. A fondant cake might do better under these conditions. We understand that not everyone likes the taste of fondant, however our fondant cakes only feature a very thin layer of fondant with delicious ganache underneath.
