Many families have a tradition of using the same cake topper on multiple baptism cakes. If your family does not do this you can start the tradition and pick a design you absolutely love.

Luisa’s tips for custom made cake toppers

Storage. Cake toppers are delicate and made of sugar not stone, so here are a few things to keep in mind. Toppers can be kept in a box with silica gel sachets to help them last for a long time.

Don’t forget to keep travelling in mind. Let Luisa know how you will be travelling so that she can package the cake topper in the safest way possible. Sugar decorations and toppers can break if handled roughly. If something does happen please contact Luisa for advice on how to fix any damage.

Beware of toothpicks. Cake toppers are often made with toothpicks or floral wire to help hold the structure together. Don’t forget this when the kids want to eat the topper.

Lastly, when you pick your cake topper please keep in mind that each artist has their own style. You can never expect an exact copy of your example.  Fondant figurines often have their own ‘personalities’ and facial expressions that makes them unique.
